Barcode encyclopedia : Symbology pdf417truncated
A truncated (reduced) PDF417 symbol uses less area than the standard PDF417 barcode. By selecting this option, the right hand side of the symbol is removed or truncated. This option should be used primarily in a clean environment, since it is more susceptible to damage.
